The SAFE (Simplified Adolescent Factors for Endometriosis) score is an evidence-based risk prediction tool designed to support primary care clinicians in identifying adolescents and young women who may be at higher risk of endometriosis.
Developed using data from more than 9,000 women, the SAFE score brings together six easily reported factors related to pelvic pain, menstrual symptoms and family history. It is intended to support referral decisions and earlier investigation, not to replace clinical diagnosis.
